Ve\u021bi g\u0103si \u00eentre aceste pagini ceea ce \u00eencerc s\u0103 cred: c\u0103 ne putem sim\u021bi, fiecare dintre noi, fiin\u021be norocoase, m\u0103car un timp. Poate c\u0103 nu azi sau m\u00e2ine. Poate c\u0103 am fost sau vom fi. Cur\u00e2nd? Nu \u0219tiu. Dar o dat\u0103 ce suntem \u00een via\u021b\u0103 – sper c\u0103 exist\u0103 ceva aici pentru noi, pe forma \u0219i pe limba noastr\u0103. Trebuie s\u0103 existe.<\/p>\n

By luck I mean: that moment when the air fills your lungs, without hesitation, without anxiety. That moment when every part of the world is expecting you. Even more, it sustains you. That moment when your shoulders drop, without any weight, and your whole body feels welcomed. Even more, it feels loved.<\/p>\n\t\t\t

Maria Martelli's poetry is of the earth, of cherry trees, of d\u00fcr\u00fcm kebab made of seitan, of seedlings, rains and heatwaves, of the end of the world as we have known it until now, of the beginning of the world as we dream it together, human and non-human beings.<\/em>In the volume the relations between humans and so-called companion animals come to the fore, and I consider it the first volume of poetry of its kind in local literature. The verses written with and about the dogs Aki, Nuna, Mushi and Terra, as well as the cat Aria, are an exploration full of love, curiosity for each other and listening to what it means to live together as fairly as possible in an unfair world.<\/em>N\u00f3ra Ugron<\/b><\/p>\t\t\n\t\t\t

The story follows the adventures of a little girl and her best friend, a pig. The two spend days full of play and laughter in their home village, eating snacks, cabbage pies and potatoes together. One day, however, the little girl learns of the grave danger that awaits the little sow and sets off on a fantastic journey to rescue her.<\/p>\n

\"The Story of the Sow and Becoming a Human\" is a children's fairy tale written by Maria Martelli, illustrated by Otilia Jakab and edited by people from the Queer Vegan Community (CVQ). It first appeared online on the Literature and Feminism platform and was later published by Hecate (2022).<\/p>\n\t\t\tSuch a beautifully written story with an ending that made me cry.<\/em>Hestia Delibas<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0If I had read this fairy tale when I was younger, I would have picked up reading much sooner<\/em>, but it's not too late to read it no matter what age!<\/em>
